12099X-Modot-1

Introduction

12099Modot-1, located in Khuvsgul aimag in Burentogtokh soum, was granted to Nar-Od trade LLC on the 11th of October, 2006 in order to conduct a geological study and exploration for molybdenum. Subsequently, on the 18th of February, 2008 the exploration license was transferred from Nar-Od to Belgravia Mining LLC based on order 184 of the Geology, Mining Cadastre Division. North of the site there is a paved road between Murun and Arbulag soum.  There are telecommunications, hospital services, public schools, petrol stations, power stations, hotels and shops located in both cities. Mongolia has seasonal weather with large temperature swings between winter and summer. In the area around Modot-1 temperatures range from -26oC to 28oC. While wind speeds can reach 15-20 m/sec, especially in the spring typical wind speeds are much lower.  With an average elevation between 2000 and 2100 m, the area has various flora, fauna and water sources such as streams and lakes.

12720X-Zalaa

Introduction

12720XZalaa is located in Saikhandulaan soum of Dornogovi aimag and the license was granted  to Quartz Crystal Trade LLC on 11th October, 2006 in order to conduct geological study and exploration on the Khadan Tsagaan quartz primary deposit. On 18th January, 2008 the exploration license was transferred to Topazstone Mining LLC based on order 55 of the Geology and Mining Cadastre Division. The license was subsequently transferred to Belgravia Mining LLC on 19th September, 2008. The Zalaa licensed area is located 48 km to the southeast of Ulaanbaatar, 120 km to the west of Sainshand and 20 km to west of Saikhandulaan soum.  The area has shallow hills but no rivers or springs. Although dry channels and dry lakes are common in the Gobi region, these areas are only occasionally restored storm waters. With extreme climate conditions, the temperature ranges from -15oC to +39oC.  The wind predominantly blows from the northwest with apees reaching 25 m/sec.  The region contains most types of flora and fauna native to the Gobi.

12742X-Ovoot

Introduction

12742XThe Ovoot license, located in Dashbalbar soum of Dornod  aimag, was granted to Talst Service LLC on 26th September, 2007 in order to conduct  a geological study and exploration on the primary tungsten deposit. Subsequently, on 19th February 2008 the exploration license was transferred to Belgravia Mining LLC based on order 191 of the Geology and Mining Cadastre Division. The Ovoot licensed area is located 20 km to the north of Dashbalbar soum centre, 250 km to the northwest of Choibalsan, and 85 km to the west of Solowevsk-Choibalsan railroad. The study area is related to the Dornod-Mongolian steppe region characterized by a landscape that stretches from the Khentii mountainous region to the steppe with small hills. With an extreme climate, the temperatures fluctuate between -26oC and +28oС and in the spring and autumn the wind speeds reach between 20-25м/sec.

14108X-Khongor-1

Introduction

14108XKhongor 1 is located in Shine Jinst soum, Bayankhongor. Initially, the license was issued on 4th September, 2008 by the Geology and Mining Cadastre Division. The area covers 70012 hectares in total. The exploration area is approximately 950 km from Ulaanbaatar and 210 km from the Chinese border. The area is a gobi – desert and half- desert landshaft. The weather conditions are extremely dry and hot with a rainfall level of circa 64 – 70mm per annum.
